If Ruby were a foreign country...

It would be that land not far to the south, that is in many ways so similar to parts of my own, but is in essence really so different. And in a sense, so tragic, because while it has great potential, and wonderful people, it's being held back from its full potential by institutions, and customs, and certian influential personalities. And so I can never commit to staying there long.
