Brazil and more d-i hacking (suprise..)
I mailed in my visa app for DebConf4 in Brazil today. Also picked up a bottom-of-the-line digital camera, perhaps a little lower than I should have aimed for, so I'm thinking about returning it. I just want to take snapshots, but this camera can barely manage that. Anyway, I'm already anticipating the whole Brazil trip, which starts early for me, on March 11th.
My rant on hotplug has drawn some attention in email, maybe something will improve in this area in Debian. Oddly, noone has commented on the first part of the rant, which was about hotplug itself..
I've been spending some time making the d-i retrievers deal with failure modes better, it's not very glamorous, but it's needed. Unfortunatly making d-i add grub boot items for existing hurd installs is harder than anticipated due to the hurd's use of the module command, so I have put that on the back burner. A lot of stuff has been breaking in d-i lately, and we really only have one effective week of development left before things need to simmer down in the ramp up for beta 4.
Jerry and Tomoko got hitched! I'm psyched for them.
