fighting computer-induced ADD
I'm looking for tips to fight computer-induced ADD. When I am not online, I rarely have this problem, and when I'm not using a computer, I never do. But take right now, when I am:
- copying a new d-i build to keychain for testing
- listening to music
- reading a page about the mars rovers
- helping two different guys on irc
- chatting on a different irc channel
- downloading something (I forget what)
- reading and responding to email
- blogging
By the time I finished writing this list, the first item had changed to "testing the d-i" and "debugging a problem in hw-detect". Earlier today, I began to boot up d-i and could not remember what I was supposed to be testing this time around, since four new things had intervened in my attention since I started the build. And I know that I do my best work when I'm completly focused down on one problem.
It's insanity, living life in little slices like this. Please help!
