low point / high point

This has been a crazy and frenzied week.

The low point was certianly Tuesday when I needed to move some bookshelves to storage to (mostly) finish my move and started up the truck and it .. didn't. Turns out something blew a fuse in the camper, and due to bad wiring this ended up draining the camper's battery and the truck's. Jumping a v8 deisel engine with a little compact car is .. interesting.

High point was today, when we got the satellite dish to raise and lock onto satmex5 and pull in email. Tempered by the annoying number of proprietary computer products needed to make that work, but I'll manage to replace at least one of firmwares of the two linux-running devices. Now if I can only get the power system straightened out.
