new stuff

"New Packages" in aptitude had been piling up since October. I finally looked through it and tried out some new stuff. duplicity kicks butt and will be great for offsite backups. 1/4 through the diveintopython book. And inkscape is fun and trippy, it's really brought out the artist in me. As for games, airstrike has the potential to be fun when finished. Nice animations.

The power jack on my laptop has developed a disturbing habit of brifly flickering the power when jiggled. Not too bad yet, but I cringe, remembering the vaio power connector from hell. Sigh.
