Clint: I can't believe they're removing the religion from Pullman's Dark Materials in a movie adaption. But then, I can't believe there's gonna be a movie either since I had assumed the religious elements relegated this most excellent series to a niche market, at least in the US. This may come of living in the bible belt.

I've only read the first book, and am saving the latter two for very special occasions.

PS: Did they take the religion out of the Narnia movie? Just curious.
