I have to confess I've been a bit of a media junkie this week, like many people I'm rather eager to find out who will win the election tomorrow. In my search for a good source of data I eventually found electoral-vote, which is an impressive site both in its data and analysis, and also in its very good, non-flashy web design (love that map). It appealed to me strangely.

Who ran that site was a mystery, although he obviously was a unix guy. Until this morning, when he "came out of the closet" and revealed himself to be .. Andrew Tanenbaum!

Hmm, back in the day, minix also held a strange appeal to me.
