speaking of old books

I've been having pretty good luck finding old SF&F books that I never thought to read before via these belated reviews. So far most of even the two star books bave been well worth the read, and it's pointed me at a few series (like the "Amber" books), whose ugly tails ends put me off a while ago, but that actually had some very good books at the beginning.

I still haven't quite dared to try to find a copy of Gormenghast though.
