talks accepted
Wow, the two talks which I foolishly sumitted for DebConf5 were both accepted. Luckily at least one of them (d-i) will be presented by a team. But I will at least have to write the paper for the "securing testing" talk, and of course give the talks. My only previous talk at DebConf (Toronto) was about debconf[1], years back, and that was pretty much my first public speaking experience. Well, we'll see if I retained anything from Jeff's tutorial in Porto Alegre.
Even with my talks in it, this year's DebConf lineup looks great. I find it hard to eliminate even two talks that I'd rather sleep in through or spend time sightseeing in Helsinki instead of attending.
[1] I sometimes worry that writing things like that sentence in my blog is unduely confusing to non-native-Debian speakers. Yes, "DebConf" and "debconf" are two unrelated things, a conference and a program I wrote before the conferences started, respectively. Part of Debian's culture involves setting up these little verbal traps for the uninitiated.
