work and er, work
It's a relief to have the d-i release over, and be back to regular development, although this is shadowed by the fact that we have to change something to make the next release more doable, and I don't know what yet.
Anyway, I uploaded some pending changes, updated d-i on i386 to use the 2.4.26 kernel, including the backported SATA support. I was suprised to find d-i installing the 2.6.5 kernel on me, which was pleasant, because unlike 2.6.3, it boots and works ok; but a suprise since it should have installed 2.4.x for a 2.4 install. Fixed that bug.
Hmm, I should upgrade my own laptop to 2.4.26 one of these days..
In skolelinux work, I have hopefully made it work with sarge's base-config, although I have been unable to test this so far because the skolelinux sarge installation CD I downloaded is kinda broken, and I have not yet been in town to download the new one Petter made. If it remains broken, my next bit of work in skolelinux will be clear.
I could rant a lot here about the idiocy of the whole countrychooser issue, but what's the point? Human nature.
Oh and about that so-called meme.. I'd love to participate, but my book reading software (w3m) does not mark pages.
